So for left shot D the Habs have Edmundson, Kulak, Chairot and Romanov but will now sign Krug, who by the way has pretty much said he wants to get paid!! Even though they have no need on the left side and signing Krug means absolutely one of Domi or Danault gets moved cause they won’t have the cap space to sign Krug, Domi and the other 2-3 roster spots needed.

I’m not a Habs fan or would pretend to know this team extremely well but I’m not sure how this makes sense.

If Laine gets moved to The Sabres I’ll say this, one of these fan bases are going to be livid!!! I don’t see a fit here for what both fan bases would deem fair.

It’s either going to be Ristolainen and crappy parts which will cause Jets fans to lose their minds or it will be a package with one of Dahlen, cozens or 8th overall being included, Which I’d assume will irritate Sabre fans.

If taylor hall to play for the flames for under 8 a season, anything can happen to the flames really for any return which they will do well with. Id rather not see sean or johnny go but really the flames will go further with taylor for sure. Seems that most of the trading will be done before free agents and the contract may not play out quite as well as most are hoping.

can't see Habs affording both Laine and Krug...they pretty much have the D set...they really really need depth on the wing bc they are praying Drouin shows up next year...and that TATAR has another strong year....Domi is not a winger....but they need size up front....Anderson....Mantha....Dadinov...Hoffman..Saad...Tuch (wet dream)... those are the type of guys they need...Armia with punch!....

Damn you gotta wonder what Bergy has cooking up in that lab of his. If he manages to sign Krug then you can move, Meat, Kulak and possibly even the recently acquired Edmundson for help up front.

Ok first, Montreal has already Charriot, Edmundson, Romanov, Kulak and Mete on left side. Krug would probably be the top LD MTL needs but I don’t see any of Charriot oR Edmundson thrown on the 3rd duo. That would kick out Romanov and Habs brought him here to give him a chance.

Second, Pierre LeBrun has already said MTL have no interest in Laine.

They're getting both. Bergevin is going to sign all the defensemen in the league and then trade the lower end garbage guys for top line players. He's going to treat real life like it's NHL '97.

He's always been pass the crust. I'm pretty sure a while back there was some issue with his weight when he showed up to camp.
